We are concerned about the safety and security of our customers. Accordingly, we have put a number of technological protections in place to ensure that our transaction process is extremely safe and that our customers’ information is secure. Credit card details are not stored. Once the transaction has been completed, the credit card numbers are no longer retained. We utilize the third party payment processor Stripe. Necessary information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and customer’s billing information will be passed to Stripe. Stripe is an industry-leading payment processor, providing payment services and fraud protection to Amazon, Lyft, Shopify, and UNICEF. If you contact us via our Contact page form or an inquiry form on a specific artwork, we retain these submissions (e.g. Name, Email address, Message) for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted for marketing purposes.
Data Used: The contact page form submission data — IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message — is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to, Ann Korologos Gallery,the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message.
Data Synced: Post and post meta data associated with a user’s contact page form submission. The IP address and user agent originally submitted with the comment are synced, as well, as they are stored in post meta in Akismet.
If you join our Email List, we may send you marketing communications about Ann Korologos Gallery artists, exhibitions, events, art-related interests you have expressed to us and important information related to our services. USER ACCOUNTS (Purpose: Functional/User Experience) – If you have an account (for wishlist and artist follow usage) and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS (Purpose: Site Usage Tracking) – Our website uses Google Analytics, a service by Google which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage to create the most informative website we can for our visitors. DISPLAY ADVERTISING – Our website has implemented and uses display advertising and we use Google Analytics to implement a specific feature called remarketing.
