Dear Friend of the Gallery,
Over the next few weeks, the gallery doors will be closed except by appointment. We wish to continue to brighten the world with art, to support our artists, clients, and staff, to move forward in the manner that best promotes the health and wellness of our community.
We loved this quote by Twyla Tharp, an American dancer and choreographer in NYC, who said, “Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.” In these difficult times where the landscape changes daily, the comforts of home, our families, simple beauty, and wellness, are to be valued all the more.
We plan to offer the entertainment of engaging interviews with our artists, details and stories of new works, tips about interior design, and high-tech (for the gallery world) room view options, where clients can email or text us a photo of their wall, and we will show how the art hangs to scale. Our goal has always been for visitors of Ann Korologos Gallery to leave with more knowledge and appreciation of the arts and artists than when they came in, and of all the things we can still do, we can still do this.
We had a nice chat with one of our artists this morning who called from an open field where he was painting. He shared that life as an artist hardly changes in these times, except that there’s more time to be in the studio creating, and it’s now acceptable to be socially isolated! Ah, the life of an artist.
While you spend more time in your space, if you look around and feel inspired to grace your walls with art and support the arts, we are available for local deliveries, can send you more information, and deliver art to your doorstep.
Wishing you health, wellness, and peace in these times,
Ann Korologos Gallery Team
