It is always exciting when our artists are selected to have their works on permanent display in public spaces. Both Katheryn Rabinow and Lloyd Schermer have their works on display in public collections in our nation’s capitol, Washington D.C.
Houston-based Kathryn Rabinow has three of her large abstract photographs hanging in the Permanent Art Collection of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington D.C. Thousands of visitors and employees pass by her work every year.
Aspen artist Lloyd Schermer’s Antique Cyrillic Wood Type Sculpture, “Live!” has been acquired by the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. The sculpture, created in 2012, was commissioned by Stephen Evans-Freke and measures 47″ x 34.5″. It is planned to be displayed in the European Reading Room.
