Thoughts While Looking at Mt. Sopris
Elizabeth Sandia, Mount Sopris
Now that I’ve been at the gallery for about six months, have a routine down and have gotten to know most of our artists, I can’t help but have favorites pieces. I’m naturally drawn to landscape art, and Elizabeth Sandia’s pastel painting, ‘Mount Sopris,’ is one. Completed last fall after her visit here, this piece just glows. The late sunset slightly warms the mountain, but it is the icy winter snow covering that attracts me the most. I must be a snow person.
